Halifax, Nova Scotia Immigration Law Firm

This team of immigration lawyers is based in Halifax in Nova Scotia, and employs three female and one male lawyer. They have more than ten years experience in immigration law and claim that most of their immigration clients come from referrals and repeat business. They charge flat rates, with the basic fee starting at $300 for an hour-long consultation, which is refunded if their services are retained.

On their website, they state that they can help with permanent residence applications for skilled workers, provincial nominees and family members, conduct refugee hearings, help corporate clients hire workers from overseas, and citizenship applications and appeals. The lawyers are all members of Nova Scotia’s Barrister’s Society as well as the Canadian Bar Association, with the owner, Elizabeth Wozniak also being a registered foreign worker recruiter with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour. Ms Wozniak also appears a lot on TV and radio programmes discussing immigration issues as well as regularly speaking at law conferences across Canada.

The North Star Immigration Law website looks slick and polished, and has information about the different classes of immigration categories, as well as a page for testimonials from clients, which paints a very positive picture of the immigration agency. They have a regularly updated Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn page, as well as a well written blog and news page on the website.

When we did a search through scam-check to see if there was anything awry with the firm, it came up as being 100% trustworthy, and there was nothing online but positive statements from past clients about North Star Immigration Law. It is slightly more upmarket than other immigration forms, and one gets the feeling that these lawyers are doing it not just fir the money, but to actively help people move to Canada.

CONCLUSION

Highly reputable and well respected Nova Scotia law firm, with nothing but positive reviews online.
